The Story of Antioch

antioch-history-2.jpeg

When Antioch founders, Scott and Amy Whitmore, moved to North Minneapolis in 2007, neighborhood kids would come over to hang or help out.

On Thursdays, Scott and Amy hosted an adult Bible Study in their home. The kids that were there didn’t find it engaging, and they asked Scott and Amy to have their own Bible Study — just for kids!

They named the group Antioch Ministries and received 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit organization in 2008.  The weekly group has grown and changed over the years, and although the Whitmore’s have transitioned into other work ,Antioch still serves the youth of North Minneapolis! Their legacy of serving the community and sharing Christ continues!
